Systems
Systems we install, and where
Every system below appears on our own project list. Counts come from that list; many projects use more than one system.
| System | What it does | Projects | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chilled water systems | A central plant chills water and pumps it to air handling units and fan coils around the building. Suited to large buildings such as hospitals, malls, schools and towers. | 10 | Shaam General Hospital, Grove Village Mall, and 2B+G+M+20+R Twin Towers – Hilton |
| Air handling units (AHU) | Large units that filter, cool and move air through ductwork to the spaces they serve. | 1 | UAE Model School – Cycle 1 Boys (Grades 1–5) |
| Fresh air handling units (FAHU) | Units that draw in outside air, filter it and cool it before it enters the building, for ventilation. | 2 | Ministry of Energy Building (G+2) and Kalba Civil Defence Station |
| Packaged units | Self-contained units, usually on the roof, with all cooling parts in one cabinet, ducted to the spaces below. | 14 | Ministry of Energy Building (G+2), Kalba Civil Defence Station, and Wadi Hakeel Mosque |
| VRF systems | One outdoor unit serves many indoor units, each controlled on its own, with refrigerant flow matched to the load. | 2 | B+G+4 Residential Building and Sanad Village – Autism and Rehabilitation Centre |
| DX systems | Direct-expansion cooling, where refrigerant cools the air directly at the coil. | 2 | Ministry of Energy Building (G+2) and Kalba Civil Defence Station |
| Ducted split units | An indoor unit hidden above the ceiling sends cooled air through short ducts to grilles in each room. | 15 | Emirates Transport Building, UAE Autism Centre (G+1), and RAK Foundation for the Holy Quran and Its Sciences |
| Decorative split units | Visible indoor units connected to an outdoor unit, for rooms where ducting is not needed. | 1 | Hilton Staff Accommodation (G+7) |
| Split units | One indoor unit paired with one outdoor unit: a simple choice for single rooms and small spaces. | 4 | Social Support Building (G+1), Mosque, and G+M+6 Building |
| Ventilation fans | Supply and exhaust fans that move fresh air in and stale air out of a building. | 2 | Ministry of Energy Building (G+2) and Kalba Civil Defence Station |
| Smoke management systems | Fans, ducts and dampers that control smoke in a fire so that people can leave safely and firefighters can work. | 3 | Grove Village Mall, 2B+G+M+20+R Twin Towers – Hilton, and Sanad Village – Autism and Rehabilitation Centre |
How we work
From the first drawing to the maintenance visit
Five steps, handled by one company.
- 01
Design
We study the building and its use, calculate heat loads to ASHRAE methods and select the system. Where a consultant has already designed it, we work to the approved design.
- 02
Supply
We source equipment from established manufacturers and fabricate ductwork in our own workshop.
- 03
Install
Our teams install equipment, ductwork and pipework on site, in coordination with the main contractor and under the consultant's supervision.
- 04
Commission
We test and commission each system before it is handed over.
- 05
Maintain
An annual maintenance contract keeps the system serviced, and our on-call team attends breakdowns.
